Ōmika Jinja is an ancient shrine dedicated to Takemikazuchi no Ōkami, with its founding said to trace back to the age of the gods. A shrine of proper lineage recorded in the Hitachi Fudoki, it has long stood as a witness to the history of this region. Takemikazuchi no Ōkami is known as a deity of warfare and also possesses deep blessings as a thunder deity. The grounds are shaded by ancient trees, creating a mystical atmosphere. Cherished by many as a guardian deity of the community and a deity of martial arts, it is a shrine of demonstrated spiritual efficacy that heeds the sincere prayers of pilgrims seeking the fulfillment of their wishes.
