History

Byakko

Kasuga Jinja, located in Kasugacho, is a shrine established through the enshrinement of the divided spirit of Kasuga Taisha in Nara, and has long been revered as a deity of learning and scholarship. It enshrines the Four Deities of Kasuga including Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, and is particularly known for its benefits in academic achievement. True to its name of spring, symbolizing hope and new beginnings, it never lacks visits from examination candidates and students. Beautiful wisteria flowers bloom in the grounds, speaking to the deep connection with Kasuga Taisha. It is a precious shrine that grants wisdom and courage.
