Shakuji Hikawa Jinja is enshrined in a quiet residential area near Shakuji Park and is an ancient shrine continuing from the Kamakura period. As one of the Hikawa faith traditions of Musashi Province, it has long been cherished by the people of this region. Surrounded by the abundant nature of Shakuji Pond, it has been revered since ancient times as a deity governing the blessings of water and greenery. In modern times, as the tutelary shrine of Nerima Ward residents, it remains a warm sanctuary where people visit daily in prayer for the safety and health of their families.
