Komatsusawa Kannon is a sacred site with Kannon Bodhisattva as its principal object of veneration, located in the mountains of Tsuruoka City. Since ancient times, it has been known as the "Kannon for Children" and has drawn the faith of couples longing for children and parents wishing for the healthy growth of their children. Despite its remote mountain location in the Shonai region, it is a famous site visited by many pilgrims from afar seeking its divine blessings. It is particularly held in deep faith for prayers for safe childbirth and child-rearing, with numerous tales of miraculous intervention passed down through generations. Set in a natural and serene environment, it is truly a sacred place where one can offer sincere prayers and find peace of mind.
