Banretsu Shrine

Enshrined in Kamihatchishincho, this shrine has long been revered in the ancient Nikko mountains as the shrine of the god with power to split rocks. The dignified presence of this deity has been reflected in all the mountains I have climbed. With the power to shatter stone, this god breaks through the hardened shells of visitors' hearts and opens new paths.
