Unebi Yamaguchi Jinja is a shikinaisha (shrine listed in the Engishiki) located on the western slope of Unebi-yama in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, formerly ranked as a Kensha (prefectural shrine). It is one of six Yamaguchinosha listed in the Engishiki norito for Yamato Province and was included among the 85 shrines for rain-praying rites. The deities Toyotama-hime no Mikoto and Ugayafukiaezu no Mikoto are enshrined here, representing the birth of life and the sacred connection to water. Set against the backdrop of Unebi-yama, associated with Emperor Jimmu, it has been revered as a guardian shrine since ancient times.
