Takatsu Miya is a venerable ancient shrine dedicated to Emperor Nintoku. Admiring the benevolent rule of Emperor Nintoku, known from the tale of "people's cooking pots," it has long gathered the faith of many. Though situated in Osaka's urban center, its verdant and serene precincts provide spiritual peace. Also famous as a shrine for matchmaking, it is beloved as the stage of the rakugo story "The Wealth of Takatsu," deeply connected to Osaka's culture.
