Shiroyama Hachiman-gu is a historic shrine enshrined on a highland in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya City. It enshrines Emperor Ojin and other Hachiman deities, and has long been known for blessings of martial fortune and victory. This place has been revered as a sacred site since ancient times and has been cherished as the protective deity of the region. Particularly famous as a power spot for matchmaking, it is counted as one of the three shrines in the "love pilgrimage tour." Within the grounds stands a sacred tree called Renri-gi, famous for matchmaking blessings, and many couples and those seeking good fortune in love visit. A wonderful shrine where one can spend peaceful moments in lush grounds while being located in an urban area.
