History
Nitta Inari Jinja stands enshrined in Ichinosoe, Edogawa Ward. Inari shrines are known for their dedication to Uganomitama no Kami, the deity of abundant harvests and business prosperity. This area was known for active agriculture since the Edo period, and the shrine is believed to have been established to wish for bountiful crops. The name "Nitta" itself reveals that it was treasured as the guardian deity of newly cultivated rice fields. Today, many merchants and business owners in the local shopping district visit to pray for business prosperity. The shrine's distinctive red torii gates leave a lasting impression, and it is a warm neighborhood shrine with deep community roots.
