Izumo Taisha Okinawa Bunsha is a shrine located in Furushima, Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is an official branch of Izumo Taisha and is the southernmost and westernmost branch of Izumo Taisha in Japan. Due to special circumstances following World War II, it is the only branch permitted to use the name "Bunsha" (branch shrine) within the Izumo Taisha faith organization. The main hall is surrounded by block walls and cannot be seen from outside. There is no torii gate; instead, there is a gate-like enclosure with a purification basin. Young women in particular visit in an unending stream from across Okinawa to pray at this shrine renowned for blessings of love and romance.
