History
Izumo Taisha Okinawa Bunsha is a shrine that received the divine virtue of the famous Izumo Taisha in Okinawa. Enshrined in Furushima, Naha, it enshrines Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, the same as the main shrine. As a branch of Izumo Taisha, renowned nationwide as the deity of matrimonial fortune, it is beloved by many people in Okinawa as well. Even in Okinawa, far from mainland Japan, visitors from throughout the prefecture and beyond come to receive the warm divine protection of the Izumo deity. It is a special shrine where one can feel the great divine virtue continuing from the age of mythology in the tropical land of Okinawa.
