History

Byakko

Horen-ji, which I visited, is nestled quietly in the mountainous area of the nature-rich Hadano. This temple has long been cherished by local people and is a place where prayers for family safety and freedom from illness and disaster have been offered. A pure atmosphere flows within the quiet precincts, healing the hearts of visitors. The Buddha enshrined in the main hall is said to be compassionate and to listen to the wishes of people. I also cleanse my mind for a while in this tranquility. It is a comforting temple surrounded by greenery.
