Yakumo Shrine, also known as Iwabuchi Yakumo Shrine, is located in Iwabuchimachi, Kita Ward, Tokyo. According to tradition, it was founded in 1469 (Bunmei 1) as the Gozu Tenno Shrine. During the Edo period, it served as the guardian shrine of the Iwabuchi post town. The principal deity is Takehaya-Susanoo-no-Mikoto, revered for warding off evil and pestilence. Following the Meiji-era separation of Shinto and Buddhism, it was renamed Yakumo Shrine. It is currently administered as a subsidiary of Akabane Hachimangu Shrine.
