Chozen-ji is an ancient Rinzai Myoshin-ji sect temple in Toride City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Known by the mountain name Dairokuzan, its principal object of worship is Jizo Bodhisattva. According to tradition, the temple was founded by Taira no Masakado, a celebrated warrior of the Kanto region. Overlooking the Tone River, this temple has endured through centuries of turmoil, quietly receiving the wishes and prayers of countless worshippers across the generations.
