History
Ehime-ken Gokoku Jinja is a relatively new shrine founded after the Meiji period, enshrining the war dead and honored spirits from Ehime Prefecture. Situated in the Miyuki area of Matsuyama City, it has served as a pillar of support for the hearts of local residents. Built to console the honored spirits of fallen soldiers from the prefecture and to embody wishes for peace, this shrine holds special significance as a sacred place for the people of Ehime Prefecture.
