Nokami Hachimangu is a historic shrine in Kobata, Kimino-cho, Wakayama Prefecture. Founded in 964 CE (Kohei 1), it enshrines Hondawake-no-Mikoto (Emperor Ojin), Hime-gami, and Empress Jingu. As a former prefectural shrine (kensha), it was under the patronage of the Kishu domain lords during the Edo period, who contributed to the construction and repair of its halls. The shrine continues to host autumn festivals where local residents pray for abundant harvests and community well-being.
