Kanshnji is a renowned Shingon Buddhist temple founded by the Great Master Kobo Daishi Kukai. It is also famous as a temple with deep connections to Masashige Kusunoki, and is an ancient and venerable temple where the history of the Northern and Southern Courts period remains vividly present. The Nyoirinn Kannon statue, said to be carved by Kobo Daishi himself, is designated as a national treasure, and its beauty deeply moves the hearts of all who visit. Nestled in a deep mountainous and tranquil environment, many priests have practiced Buddhist discipline here and continue to preserve Buddhist culture. It is also known as a location of cherry blossoms, with beautiful flowers adorning the temple grounds in spring, bringing comfort to the hearts of visitors.
