History
Zuinenji is a temple of the Jodo sect located in Monzen-cho, Okazaki, Aichi. Its mountain name is Butsugen-zan Zentoku-in. The principal image is Amida Nyorai. As the place name Monzen-cho (Temple Gate Town) suggests, the neighborhood developed around this temple. Based on the Jodo sect teachings, generations of worshippers have come here to recite nenbutsu and pray for rebirth in the Pure Land. It is an old temple that has quietly supported the faith and livelihoods of the local community in the Mikawa region.
