History

Byakko

Standing tall in Hekinan, Shōjōin has been a place of spiritual sanctuary that I have long observed and honored. True to its name, this temple possesses the power to cleanse hearts and guide souls toward purification. Rooted in the Tsukiyama district, it has witnessed the passage of countless ages while welcoming devoted pilgrims within its sacred halls. The blessings of this holy place—cleansing impurities and guiding toward a pure heart—have flowed unchanged from ancient times to the present day. With each turning season, the wishes of the faithful gather here, bathed in the light of purification and good fortune.
