History
Ryusenji, nestled on Ryuto-zan, is an ancient temple whose principal image is Ryuto Fudoson. Legend has it that a high priest practicing asceticism in this region long ago carved a statue of Fudo Myoo onto a rock shaped like a dragon's head and enshrined it. Ryuto Fudoson, with his powerful form, is believed to cut off all misfortunes and bring people benefits of good fortune and exorcism. Many people, especially those reaching their unlucky years or wishing for daily safety, visit this temple.
