As a sacred site of Ontake faith, this shrine has watched over Motegi from the heights for untold ages. The pure prayers of climbers that I have witnessed never cease to echo through the mountains. Here dwells the power of the fire deity and the ancient spirit of the mountains, bestowing purification and good fortune upon all who visit.
