History
On the eastern edge of the Chita Peninsula stands Hōchikusan Jōrenji, a sacred place I have long protected and honored. This temple, symbolizing the purity of the lotus, has continuously cleansed human hearts and guided souls toward good fortune, much as the lotus blooms pure and white from muddy depths. Standing amid the fields of Ōta, it has welcomed countless pilgrims since ancient times. The quietude of its pond and the purifying power symbolized by the lotus fill this sacred space completely. Through seasons of natural transformation, this temple steadfastly bestows its blessings, continuously bringing the virtue of the lotus flower to all seeking hearts.
