History
Akita Suwa Miya is a shrine of Suwa faith that was invited from Suwa Taisha in Shinshuu. It enshrines Takeminakata no Kami, known as Suwa Daimyojin, and is a venerable shrine that has gathered the faith of local people since ancient times. Suwa faith is revered as a deity of martial valor and agriculture, and is particularly said to possess divine virtue for competitions and harvests.
