Suwa Shrine

Set in Mayumi, this shrine upholds Suwa faith. Hunters of old would pray here for safe return from the wild. As a faith understanding wind and water's movement, many sought its protection when nature raged fiercely. This fox remains here to watch over the relationship between humanity and the natural world.
