Tachikawa Suwa Jinja is an ancient shrine enshrined in Shibazaki-cho, Tachikawa City, dedicated to Takeminakata no Kami. It is said to have been invited from the Suwa Taisha of Shinano Province and has walked together with the regional development of Tachikawa. During the Edo period, it was revered as the tutelary shrine of Shibazaki Village and served as a place where people prayed for abundant harvests. Today, even as Tachikawa develops and urbanization advances, the shrine continues to be loved by many as a source of spiritual support for the community. Through the valiant divine grace of the Suwa deity, the shrine grants people the strength to overcome various hardships.
