Haritsuna Jinja is enshrined in the castle town of Inuyama and has long watched over this area together with Inuyama Castle. The name "Haritsuna" is said to carry the meaning of binding and protecting the community with strong bonds. The beautiful grounds of Haritsuna Jinja, harmonizing with the townscape of Inuyama, which is called the "Little Kyoto of Owari," are loved by many worshippers throughout the seasons. Especially during the cherry blossom season, the sight of it together with Inuyama Castle is exquisite. Since ancient times, it has been deeply revered as a deity of safe childbirth and child-rearing, and is a warm shrine that deepens family bonds.
