Saikoku-ji is an esteemed ancient temple located in Nishikusabo-cho, Onomichi City, serving as the ninth sacred site on the Thirty-Three Kannon Pilgrimage Route of the Chugoku Region! It is traditionally said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi during the Heian period, and possesses a long history. The temple grounds preserve numerous cultural treasures, including the National Treasure Golden Hall. Positioned on high ground overlooking the town of Onomichi, it also offers beautiful views of the Seto Inland Sea.
