Seifuku-in is a head temple of the Shigisan Shingon sect on Mount Shigi in Nara, and serves as a sub-temple (tacchu) and lodging temple of Chogosonshi-ji. Mount Shigi is renowned as the site where Prince Shotoku received the protection of Bishamonten, and its spiritual legacy has been passed down for over a millennium. As a shukubo, it welcomes pilgrims to stay and practice prayer amid the sacred mountain atmosphere.
