Shibukawa Shrine

Shibukawa Shrine is an ancient shrine located in Inba-Motomachi, Owariasahi City, Aichi Prefecture. It is listed in the Engishiki Jimmyocho as a shikinaisha (imperially recognized shrine) of Yamada District, Owari Province. In ancient times, the name was read as Sobukawa, and the shrine served as the sossha (chief shrine) of Yamada District, attracting deep reverence from the local populace. Its status as a shikinaisha attests to its historical prestige, and the community has faithfully maintained and passed down its traditions to the present day.
