Misaka Shrine is an ancient shikinaisha listed in the Engishiki (Misaka-jinja, Mino District, Harima Province) and a former gōsha serving as the tutelary deity of Shishimi in Miki. Dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto, it has long protected the community from pestilence and misfortune. Known as Gozutenno-sha during the syncretic period, it was renamed to its current form in the Meiji era.
