Iizaka Onsen Jinja has been cherished as the protective deity of Iizaka Hot Spring, which flourished as a bathing resort since ancient times. It enshrines the deity governing the blessings of hot springs and has gathered faith for the health recovery and well-being of those visiting for hot spring therapy. As the place name Yuzawa suggests, this area is blessed with abundant hot springs, and the shrine has likewise developed from those blessings. Located in the center of the hot spring district, it continues to be cherished as a source of spiritual support for local people and hot spring visitors.
