This is a sacred site of Akasha Bodhisattva located on a spiritual peak in remote Aizu. As one of Japan's three great Akasha Bodhisattva sites, it has long been revered as a Buddha who bestows wisdom and good fortune. The shrine stands majestically atop a cliff overlooking the clear waters of the Tadami River, a truly miraculous sight. It is also famous as a sacred site for Jusan Mairi, the thirteen-year-old coming-of-age blessing ceremony, where families come to pray for their children's wisdom and growth. Though situated deep in the mountains of Aizu, this treasure house of fortune and wisdom continues to be loved by many.
