History
Fukushima Gokoku Jinja is a Gokoku shrine dedicated to honoring the heroic spirits of those who gave their lives for the nation. Situated in Yamaguchi, it plays an important role in consoling the spirits of those from Fukushima Prefecture who fell in war and in praying for peace. Gokoku shrines are established in each prefecture, where people pay their respects with gratitude for and remembrance of those who dedicated their lives to their homeland. Together with prayers for peace, it serves as a place to deepen local and family affection, cherished by many.

Tips
入口そばの信夫山天満宮は見逃しやすい境内社で、東北初の天満宮として昭和63年に創建されました。「君が代」の歌詞に出てくるさざれ石も境内に奉納されています。
ご祈祷専用の無料駐車場が境内にあります。桜の季節(4月)は花見客も集まるため満車になりやすいです。
桜の季節(4月)とGW期間は地元参拝者で特に混み合います。初詣期間は専用の案内が公式サイトに出るため事前確認が必要です。
