History
Kotonomama Hachiman Jinja, read as "koto-no-mama," is famous for granting wishes. This ancient shrine, continuing from the Heian period, enshrines Emperor Ojin. True to its name, "wishes are fulfilled just as they are," it has become a spiritually efficacious place visited by many pilgrims. The character "nin" (任) signifies that all things are accomplished as desired, and this belief attracts visitors from distant places. The serene atmosphere of the grounds provides an ideal environment for offering sincere prayers.
