Hōyōji is an ancient Tendai Buddhist temple in Suzumebayashi, Aizumisato-machi, Fukushima Prefecture. Known by the mountain name Raiden-san and the institute name Myōgyōin, its principal image is the Juichimen Kannon (Eleven-faced Kannon). Revered as Suzumebayashi Kannon, it is one of the thirty-three pilgrimage temples of the Aizu Kannon Circuit. According to tradition, Egawa Tsunetoshi of Sabukawamurae prayed here for the prosperity of his descendants. The temple grounds feature a three-story pagoda designated as an Important Cultural Property of Fukushima Prefecture.
