History

This temple is the 12th pilgrimage site in the Chichibu 34 pilgrimage. Its founding is ancient, said to date back to the Heian period. The principal image is Shakyamuni Buddha, and it has long been worshipped as a place for the salvation and peace of people's hearts. The quiet and tasteful temple grounds offer solace to visitors. It is a historic temple filled with the prayers of many pilgrims.
