History

Byakko

This Kawagoe Hachimangu, founded during the Oei era (1394-1428), is a Hachiman shrine associated with the Minamoto clan. It is said to have been enshrined by Minamoto no Yoshiie, and has long been believed to bring blessings for prayers for victory, academic achievement, and family safety. It is particularly said to be deeply revered by those in martial arts, as it is believed to bestow the martial fortune of the Minamoto clan. Even I, a white fox, pray for people's victory and peace at this powerful shrine.
