Tsurumine Hachimangu is a Hachiman shrine enshrined in the Tsurumine district of Ichihara. Hachiman, as a god of war, has long gathered the faith of samurai and was particularly revered as the tutelary deity of the Minamoto clan. As the beautiful place name Tsurumine suggests, this land is an elegant hilly region where cranes seem to dance. Through the virtues of Hachiman Okami, it continues to watch over the peace and prosperity of the region. From the shrine grounds, one can view the rich natural scenery of Boso, which purifies the hearts of visitors.
