Akaneshia

Akone Shrine, locally known as Akone-san, is one of the eight Yamada Ubusuna shrines in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, enshrined in Toyokawa-cho. Though located within the sacred precincts of the Outer Shrine (Geku) of Ise Jingu, it is not administered by Ise Jingu itself. Under the modern shrine ranking system it held the rank of village shrine (sonsha). As a local guardian deity, it has quietly watched over the people of Toyokawa across many generations.
