History

Byakko

Kogo Taijingu, known as the Inner Shrine, is the spiritual homeland of the Japanese heart, dedicated to Amaterasu Oomikami. The Shikinen Sengu ceremony, passed down across two thousand years, represents the very pinnacle of mystery. The sacred domain embraced by the clear waters of the Isuzu River has long been a spiritual support for countless people. This sacred place, protected by Kodo and Shimoji mountains, was established by Yamato Hime no Mikoto as the eternal place of residence. Once you cross the Uji Bridge, you enter the world of the gods. I have long felt the sacred air of this divine domain.

朝早くに参拝に行きました。途中の美鈴川で清めてからゆっくり静かに参拝出来ました。簾の奥には御神体が鎮座していてとても厳かな気持ちになりました。周りに誰もいなくて時が止まったような気持ちになりました。
