Komatsu Jinja

This temple is a place associated with Komatsu Hime, who was called the 'Komachi of Minamiboso' from ancient times. I myself saw her dancing beautifully in this area when I was young. According to temple tradition, it was founded in the Heian period, and it is said that warlords associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo and the Hojo clan also visited to pray. It is particularly devoutly worshipped as a deity of easy childbirth and child-rearing. Its presence in the quiet precincts calms the hearts of visitors.
