History
This Daihozan Korinji is a historic Rinzai Zen temple said to have been founded in the Kamakura period. It is said to have been founded by Muso Kokushi and has long gathered the faith of people. Its principal image is Shaka Nyorai, whose serene expression soothes the hearts of visitors. The precincts are rich in greenery and enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere. In particular, the Daruma Daishi statue enshrined in the main hall is deeply worshipped as a deity of good luck. It is said to grant wishes such as family safety, business prosperity, and good luck and warding off evil, and many people still visit to offer prayers. Prayers unchanged since ancient times still live on in this land.
