Myorenji

Myorenji is an ancient temple of the Nichiren sect, quietly nestled near the coast of Kamogawa. It is a place associated with Nichiren Daishonin, who spent his childhood here, and it continues to pass down his teachings to this day. Historical sites that evoke the virtue of the Great Saint are scattered throughout the temple grounds. Based on the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, it is beloved by many followers as a temple that prays for the salvation and peace of people. It is pleasant to offer prayers with a calm heart in the tranquil precincts. The goshuin is written with powerful characters characteristic of the Nichiren sect.
