Hashidate-do is a Soto Zen temple in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, with the mountain name Sekiyu-san. It is the 28th temple of the Chichibu Pilgrimage of 34 sacred sites, enshrining Sho Kannon (Koyasu Kannon) as the principal deity. Though its founding date is unknown, it has long been revered for blessings of safe childbirth and conception. Behind the temple stands the dramatic Hashidate Rock, a sheer cliff face rising over 100 meters, creating a breathtaking natural backdrop that has inspired pilgrims for centuries.
