Otaki-ji is a sub-temple of the Omuro branch of Shingon Buddhism, holding the status of jun-bekkaku honzan. Located in Wakimachi, Mima City, Tokushima Prefecture, its mountain name is Fukudai-zan, also known as Jigen-in. The principal deity is Nishiteru Daigongen. The temple is revered as the Sou-oku-no-in (final inner sanctuary) of the 88 Sacred Places of Shikoku, and also serves as the 20th temple on the Shikoku Bekkaku 20-temple pilgrimage route. Pilgrims have long sought its blessings for protection from misfortune.
