Hachiooji Shrine stands in Furugama-cho, Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, as a former village shrine with deep roots in local faith. Every seven years, its mikoshi participates in the Grand Festival of Miyama — the Miyama Nananenmairi — held at the nearby Ninomiya Shrine, where this shrine's deity plays the role of the youngest son. The 1.08-hectare precinct is designated as a regional environmental conservation area, preserving its rich natural surroundings. Eight deities are enshrined here, drawing steady pilgrims who seek blessings in contests, fortune, and life's endeavors.
