History

Byakko

This Kashiwa Suwa Shrine has been enshrined in this land of Kashiwa where I reside since ancient times. It is said to have been founded during the Einin era (1293-1299) by inviting a branch spirit from Suwa Taisha. The principal deity is Takeminakata-no-Mikoto, who has long been worshipped as a god of martial prowess and good fortune. The shrine grounds have a calm atmosphere and serve as a spiritual refuge for the local people. The approach to the shrine is lined with dignified trees, making it a suitable place to spend quiet time.
