Hoko-ji

Hoko-ji is an ancient temple said to have been founded in the Muromachi period. Although its founder is unknown, it has gathered the faith of the people in this region for a long time. According to temple traditions, it was once a central temple in the region, visited by many believers. Over the long years, while undergoing several repairs and reconstructions, its history and traditions have been passed down. Ancient trees that evoke a sense of eternal history stand in the quiet grounds, calming the hearts of visitors. It continues to be loved by the local people, providing them with peace of mind. I myself am often soothed by the tranquility of this temple.
