History
Tôsenin, enshrined in Hakuta, Higashi-Izu, is an ancient temple like a clear spring flowing from the east, true to its name. Wrapped in the deep compassion of Kannon Bodhisattva, it has watched over those liberated from suffering. In this land surrounded by Izu's mountains, countless prayers have accumulated at this sacred place. Beyond the ages, Kannon's unchanging protection continues to gently embrace visitors, providing the power to purify body and mind. It continues to shine as the spring of the east.
