History

Atago-sha nestles within the grounds of Yamaya Shrine, sacred to the fire deity and fire prevention. Surrounded by the mountains of Sanada, this shrine has long drawn the faith of villagers through generations. The prayers for protection from fire have never ceased at this hallowed place.
