Ruriji Temple, formally known as Funakoshiyama Nankobo Ruriji, is a Koyasan Shingon Buddhist temple of the Bekkaku Honzan rank located in Funakoshi, Sayo-cho, Sayo-gun, Hyogo Prefecture. Its mountain name is Funakoshi-zan, and the principal image is Senju Kanzeon Bosatsu (Thousand-Armed Guanyin), the bodhisattva of compassion who saves all beings. The temple is the 33rd sacred site of the New Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage, drawing devoted pilgrims from across the region. The name Ruri (lapis lazuli) evokes the pure light of the Pure Land, and the serene precincts continue to offer spiritual healing to all who visit.
